Edur is a German manufacturer of industrial centrifugal pumps for specific applications.
Edur Pumpenfabrik was founded in 1927 in Kiel and has always focused on developing centrifugal pumps for pumping liquids with air or gas bubbles.
Since a large number of pumps are used for pumping liquid gases, a low NPSH requirement is essential.
Characteristic of a large part of the Edur pumps are the open impellers in combination with a diffuser with guide vanes, see image below.
This construction ensures that there are hardly any axial forces in the pump and the radial forces are largely compensated by the diffuser.
Air or gas bubbles can also be processed much better. In practice it appears that the pumps can process up to 30% air or gas bubbles.
The Edur pumps are also characterized by the very favorable NPSH requirement. This is partly caused by the enlarged suction connection and therefore a low entry speed.

The pumps are available with a wide variety of shaft seals, both single and double.
It is also possible to supply the pumps with a magnetic coupling.

Extremely suitable for pumping liquid gases.
