Reversed Osmosis (RO)

For the processing of pig manure, purification techniques are used to eventually remove the minerals such as phosphate, potassium and nitrogen and to use them elsewhere in the world where there is a shortage of them. Since pig manure consists of approximately 94% water, it is purified to such an extent that this part can be discharged back into the surface water. An important purification step in this process is a Reversed Osmosis installation or RO installation. However, for this application, special RO installations are used with system pressures up to almost 60 bar. Bedu Pompen supplies special magnet-driven centrifugal pumps for this application that can handle this system pressure and can also handle light pollution.
